Arts Insight seeks to offer experienced, talented and passionate singing, music and drama specialists the opportunity to be part of our hugely talented team of directors, instrumentalists and musical directors.
Our workshops are delivered all over the UK, ranging from 1 – 5 days during the school term. Potential candidates must be able to commit to travelling across the UK, although a driving license is not essential. All employees must have a valid CRB disclosure.
All of our Musical Directors must be excellent pianists with a strong working knowledge of a variety of musical styles and genres and must have excellent improvisational skills with an exceptional ear. Throughout the workshop your role is to teach 2 – 4 show songs, utilising your own methods, incorporating warm ups, exercises and choral training. The candidates we are looking to employ must have the ability to compose original music, as we always aim to leave a legacy by creating an original song that the children have developed over the course of the workshop. It is important that you are a strong team player, who is happy to support the Director throughout the process, have good time management skills and the ability to be flexible and spontaneous if necessary. A working knowledge of the theatre is a bonus, as our 5 day workshops involve turning the school into a professional working theatre for the week, incorporating the cast and backstage crew including set designers, props department, costume and marketing.
We are looking for engaging individuals to accompany our national musical workshops, which will include the show songs, as well as providing underscoring throughout the show. Successful candidates should be excellent improvisers and sound accompanists with a good ear. Applicants must be comfortable working with children and have a strong working knowledge of a variety of musical styles and genres. Good interpersonal skills will be a big advantage.
We are currently looking for Warwickshire/West Midlands based drama teachers. Due to the increased work commitments of our Artistic Director who currently runs every session, we are looking for a pool of teachers who have flexible schedules to be able to cover weekly sessions in Leamington, Warwick and Stradford-Upon-Avon. Our classes involve up 35 children from KS2 (7 – 11yrs). Teachers would need to commit to 3:30pm – 4:30pm classes on Monday-Wednesday (Leamington and Warwick) and 3:45 – 5:15pm on a Thursday (Stratford-Upon-Avon). The cover session will usually come with at least a months notice, but can sometimes come up with only a couple of days notice. We are always looking to expand our classes and if both parties feel the same there will be opportunities to start new classes and create regular positions for the right candidates. It is important that you are a strong leader, have good time management skills and the ability to be flexible and spontaneous and most of all the creative flair to produce dynamic and inspiring sessions for the children.
